Baby Semifinalist:

Alexis-8 months

Here is what Lexie's mom says about her and the family:

"Lexie is a very happy baby with a smile for everyone she meets. She just

adores her 3 year old big brother, Zachary."

About the family:"We have milk delivered in reusable glass containers.

We use our neighborhood's curbside recycling, and we also reuse many items

(egg cartons, TP, and paper towel tolls, etc.) for art and craft projects for

Zachary. We also recently sold our SUV, and bought a car that gets better

gas mileage."

Toddler Semifinalist:

Francis Malachai-23 months

Here is what Malachai's mom and dad say about him and the family:

"Malachai is a sweet, fun loving child who loves the outdoors. We choose the skunk

costume because our nickname for him was "little skunk", and he definetly can be

a stinker at times!"

About the family: We use cloth diapers, recycle and eat organically whenever possible,

because we know that our son's future will be brighter if we respect our planet."
